The digital noise reduction recording brings you your favorite programming with a minimum of interference. Pioneer's MD recorders use compression technology named ATRAC (Adaptive Transform Acoustic Coding) in recording. ATRAC compression enables the same length of playtime on a smaller disc by masking the frequencies at lower sound levels which may not be apparent to the listener. Accurate Servo Circuit eliminates unwanted internal noise created by the motor mechanism.
